About

Founded in 2001, AGIRI's mission is to foster the creation of powerful and ethically positive Artificial General Intelligence.

Projects

Resources

Activities

  • The general promotion of AGI research, in the academic and commercial communities.
  • The creation, deployment and teaching of AGI software systems.
  • The application of AGI technologies in ethically positive ways.
  • The study of the theoretical properties of AGI systems, including the interface between AGI and general complex-systems studies, and the potential dynamics of interaction between AGI and society at large.

Volunteer Opportunities

AGIRI is currently accepting volunteer help with a number of AGI software projects. Excellent English email communication skills are a must.

  • Advanced C programmers: For the AGISim project a proficiency in Linux is required. (Although, AGISim could be ported to Windows fairly easily by a programmer competent in both operating systems.)
  • Programmers with knowledge of advanced mathematics : The Mizar Conversion project may be carried out on any operating system, using any programming language.
  • Research Assistant: We could use someone to focus on developmental psychology and cognitive science, primarily doing conceptual research involving context-specific integration of existing knowledge. There is currently no coherent "developmental psychology for AI's": let's create one together.
