Category:Knowledge and Software Resources
From AGIRI.org
This page groups a number of existing resources that are potentially useful for AGI development, yet do not constitute AGI development themselves.
Of course some sense must be used in determining what to list here, since almost any piece of software can potentially be of some indirect use for AGI. A good criterion is whether the software in question has actually been useful for someone in working on their Proto AGI System, so far.
Knowledge Resources
There exist a variety of databases and other knowledge resources potentially useful for feeding knowledge into AGI systems.
Whether these are actually an important part of the AGI quest or not remains a matter of controversy. Some AGI Projects, like Cyc, are almost totally focused on the creation of knowledge resources. Others consider them a complete irrelevancy.
Interactive Environments
The AGISim simulation world is an environment for AGI's to play and learn in.
