Infantile Stage
From AGIRI.org
The stage of development of a Mind that is concerned mainly with learning basic things required of any Autonomous Agent with Intelligence, such as
- how to effectively integrate Perception, Action and Cognition within a Cognitive Cycle
- how to construct a Self via interactions with the world and other minds (see Intersubjective Reality)
In this stage a mind develops basic world-exploration driven by instinctive actions. Reward-driven reinforcement of actions learned by imitation, simple associations between words and objects, actions and images, and the basic notions of time, space, and causality are developed. The most simple, practical ideas and strategies for action are learned.
Relationship to Uncertain Logic
In the theory of Developmental Stages of Uncertain Logic Based AI Systems, the Infantile stage may be characterized as a stage where the logical inference faculty operates as a stand-alone system without sensitive adaptation to its environment based on experience.
