The Dual Network archetype manifests itself in Novamente largely as follows:
- Hierarchical links are Inheritance relationships defined using PLN semantics and managed/modified by PLN
- Associative, heterarchical links are HebbianLinks created based on common activity and utilized by Economic Attention Allocation
The flexible interoperation of inference and attention allocation is critical to maintaining a functioning emergent dual network structure.
