Novamente Self

The Self-Model in Novamente consists of a set of Atoms embodying logical relationships, largely formed by PLN inference acting on the results of Map Formation.

Economic Attention Allocation will sometimes cause the system to simultaneously assign high Short Term Importance to a number of Atoms related to the Self-Model, which encourages links to form between these Atoms, thus making the Self-Model a richer and more fully interconnected pattern, and giving map formation more self-related patterns of collective activation to work with.
