Process

A process is an event that is sufficiently complex that it seems natural to think of it as decomposed into a number of sub-events; or, a "natural category" of such events.
The word "process" actually covers two cases, which may be further refined as:
- process-instance
- process-category
Occasionally it may be useful to explicitly distinguish these.
A Process Instance is a single event that may naturally be decomposed into multiple sub-events.
A Process Category is a category of process-instances sharing important common properties.
