A Symbolically Interactive System that, as it interacts with and adapts to its environment, constructs Symbolic models of its own symbolic modeling process (by which it models aspects of itself, its environment and the interaction therebetween), utilizing these models to improve its symbolic modeling and possibly modify itself more thoroughly.

Relationship to Cognitive Development
In the theory of Developmental Stages of Uncertain Logic Based AI Systems, the Mind (and components within it, such as Inference Control, is thought to display properties of a Reflectively Interactive System when it enters the Reflective Stage.
