Self Generating System

A self-generating system is an abstract model of complex systems, which basically consists of a set of components that act on and combine with each other to create new components, recursively. It is similar to a Component System but is explicitly understood to be computable.

The cognitive processes of Forward Synthesis and Backward Synthesis are specific manifestations of self-generating systems.

The Cognitive Equation is a hypothesis regarding which kinds of self-generating systems will be able to give rise to General Intelligence given moderate computational resources.
