Ultra Long Term Memory
From AGIRI.org
Memory that retains items over a long period of time -- not necessarily the whole lifespan of a mind, but perhaps so -- but has the drawback that memory access is extremely slow, taking many Cognitive Cycles for retrieval, and also perhaps having limited modes of lookup/indexing compared to other forms of memory.
This kind of memory does not exist in humans but may easily exist in AGI systems. The simplest example is a store of Knowledge Components that is cached on disk rather than retained in RAM.
