Uncertain Logic

Uncertain Logic refers to logic in which statements are explicitly quantified with uncertain truth values (i.e. truth values embodying information about the certainty of the statement).

Of course, ordinary "Crisp" logic can still reason about uncertainty, but only by representing uncertainty explicitly using logical relationships about uncertainty. In an uncertain logic, uncertainty is part of the basic logical language. This makes a difference in terms of the efficiency with which uncertainty can be taken into account in the course of reasoning.
